Crested Butte 4, 6 and 8 Cubic Yard Front Load Bear Resistant Metal Dumpsters

Our "Crested Butte" Bear-Proof Dumpsters take the spotlight when it comes to sleek design. Stylish yet still very effective, this bear proof dumpster comes with all the bells and whistles. Manufactured from 12-gauge steel and comes complete with paddle latches and gravity latch for auto lid release. They are industry-standard front-loading dumpsters, available in 4, 6, and 8 cubic yard sizes. 

The double access doors are secured with a bear-resistant paddle latch, which allows for personal trash disposal. The unloading lid is unlatched by our gravity latch during the dumping operation. Our Gravity Latching Mechanism has a hook that is on a pivot. When the dumpster is lifted and rotated forward, the hook pivots away from the pin and allows the door to swing open. When the bear-proof dumpster is set down the hook slides over the pin and engages to secure the lid in place. A hook and pin setup on each side, making it a cooperative 2-person operation to open manually if so desired.
