The Bearicuda Telluride 64 Gallon ADA Compliant Bear Resistant Trash Enclosure and Receptacle.

Our Telluride Series Receptacles are designed to enclose a 32 Gallon trash can. The access door is equipped with a bear resistant paddle latch that locks into place when the door is released preventing the door from being left open. The unloading door for removing the trash is simple to use requiring little effort for trash removal.

The Bear Resistant Latch used on all of our products have been tested by the "Living with Wildlife Foundation at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone, Montana" The tests were conducted by Sammy the Grizzly Bear who weighs more than 1,050 lbs. Sammy was brought to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone, MT in the fall of 1996 where he has been conducting tests to see how bear proof these designs really are. Our gravity latch, latches the door closed as soon as the door is let go.

The Telluride Bear Proof and Resistant Trash Receptacle and Enclosure was successfully tested by the Living With Wildlife Foundation (LWWF) at The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center located outside Yellowstone National Park.

The ADA compliant Telluride Bear-Resistant Trash Enclosure and Receptacle is laser cut from recycled steel to minimize welded joints. Our ENC503 and ENC504 bear-proof trash receptacle encloses two (2) 32-gallon plastic trash containers. The entire bear-proof garbage enclosure is coated with 2-3 mils of an epoxy primer and additional 2-3 mils of a Super Durable TGIC polyester coating of the customer's choosing. This finish prevents chalking and color degradation over time.

The top doors are secured with bear-resistant gravity latches and the bottom doors are fitted with bear-proof, two-point paddle latches. The latching mechanism was successfully tested by the Living With Wildlife Foundation (LWWF) at The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center located outside of Yellowstone National Park. There is an option for the exterior to be covered with recycled decorative plastic slats which add to the aesthetics of the container.
